[user-forum] -- Jarre in Paris vintage synth lust --

i was never a huge Jarre fan but with time i have learned to appreciate 
and actually like very much ,SynthSights at yahoogroups.comsome of his works. 

But when i read he was doing 10 Oxygen shows in Paris with a 1977ish synth setup 
i just couldn't resist so i went last weekend in Paris 

Wonderful Theatre on the champs elyse and a wonderful Xmas atmosphere 
in Paris dry cold sunny blue sky ... what more ? 

Already before going inside there was an LCD screen at the entrance with
zoomed images of VCS3 Odyssey Jupiter 8 RMI etc etc so i already started to 
salivate. Once i went inside there was a huge cover on the stage .. 
dammm I want to see .. i was very impatient ! 
Then JMJ made a small intro in french and english and then ... 
the most amazing vintage synths setup I ever seen after Tangerine Dream in Rome in 1981 !
Then sonic heaven started but still wasn't enough 
after around 20 25 min a huge mirror came down from the ceiling 
and then i had a visual orgasm !!!!  

Unfortunately the concert was only 1 h and 15 min and no encore ! :-((( 
maybe he was scared to burn the beauties :-D look at my pix and enjoy !

Xmas competition time .. guess all the "beasts" ? 

4 (FOUR !!!) VCS3 ... 4 (FOUR !!!) Eminent 310 and so on and on and on 
a little cheat .. 2 moog little phatty were there too 
and i think i saw a midi cable going out of the Jupiter 8 ;-)  
for the rest pure PLAYED synth music. 
Was so nice to see synths performed show without
any midi computing and the sound , the sound ...
mmmmm THAT "special sound" that i adore so much since years and years.
